Philosophy

The whole person must be healthy - the soul and the body. This is our conviction and why we work with holistic medicine.

Our rehabilitation team is organised in such a way that we can support you in all matters. Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists take care of your well-being. The right food is often of central importance. That's why you can also enjoy nutritional counselling and meals tailored to your needs. A social service takes care of important issues in your current life situation.

What is most important to us? Conversations and care at all levels. Because this is just as important for your recovery as medication and therapy.

After an operation

Rehabilitation after major surgery is often necessary and also sensible. If you give yourself and your body the necessary time and attention, you will be back on your feet more quickly and sustainably. At LHM, a team of specialists will look after you. And they all have one goal: to give you back your personal freedom of movement and independence.

Lungs

7 % of the Swiss population suffer from asthma, 3 % from chronic bronchitis and 14 % from upper respiratory allergies. LHM offers a comprehensive therapy programme for both acute treatment and rehabilitation. This consists of medical, nursing and physiotherapy measures. Depending on your needs, other specialists may be included in the rehabilitation team (psychologist, nutritionist, social services).

Pulmonary rehabilitation - recognised by the Swiss Society of Pneumology (SGP) and the Working Group of Service Providers - Insurers for Economic and Quality-Oriented Rehabilitation (ALVR) - guarantees an improvement in the quality of life of patients with chronic respiratory problems.

Allergy tests can be carried out here during your stay. The surroundings of Montana are low in allergens. Specialists in allergic diseases will provide you with expert advice.

Heart

After a heart attack or heart operation, you need comprehensive and competent rehabilitation. Familiar surroundings and stressful everyday life are often a factor in illness. It is therefore worthwhile deciding in favour of an inpatient stay in Montana to gain some distance.

LHM has developed a cardiac rehabilitation programme that is recognised by the Swiss Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation (SAKR) and is led by a heart specialist. Three performance groups are offered depending on physical fitness.

Sleep

3 - 6 % of the population suffer from breathing-related sleep disorders. Are you one of them? We recommend it: Have it checked and treated so that major damage to the heart and brain can be avoided. Unchecked high blood pressure, pauses in breathing at night and heavy and regular snoring can be signs of a breathing-related sleep disorder.

Psyche

States of exhaustion, burn-out and depression are common and increasingly frequent illnesses. A rehabilitation stay in the Valais Alps can go a long way towards making your life worth living again. Especially because the specialists at the LHM will put together a programme tailored to your individual needs.
