He holds the SGGG Senologist certificate, which has just been created by Gynécologie suisse SGGG and is only awarded to those with a proven track record in breast surgery.

He owns a private practice at 4 p. Indipendenza in Bellinzona.

He was head of the department of gynaecology and obstetrics at the Ospedale Regionale Bellinzona e Valli and was also active as a dedicated surgeon at the Centro di Senologia della Svizzera Italiana (CSSI) in Bellinzona, of which he was clinical director. Since 2003, he has also been an FMH specialist in fetal-maternal medicine.
