In addition to the high quality medical and nursing services, we also work behind the scenes in other areas to ensure the well-being and safety of our patients, such as emergency organisation, occupational safety and health protection for our staff, and building management.

Our standards

The Schmerzklinik Basel successfully passed the ISO maintenance audit in August 2022. The clinic has full ISO certification of its quality management in accordance with the 9001:2015 standards for both the outpatient and inpatient areas. The ISO 9001 certificate is awarded by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS), which is the leading Swiss organisation for certification and assessment services.

The ISO certificate is internationally valid and recognised worldwide through the involvement of SQSin IQNet (The International Certification Network). ISO 9001:2015 is regarded nationally and internationally as the most important standard for quality management. The certification forms the basis for a continuous improvement process of our quality management system. The transparency of operational processes can thus be increased. It also defines the requirements with regard to customer needs and product and service quality.

Our clinic is certified according to this standard, which is widely used and comparable both nationally and internationally. It shows the requirements that have to be implemented with regard to customer needs as well as product and service quality. The standard is thus a proven instrument for increasing the transparency of operational processes and subsequently optimising the efficiency of corporate performance. The annual review by the certification body SQS also ensures continuous and sustainable improvement of the management system.
