Neurology is the science dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and (non-surgical) therapy of diseases of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system.

In a broader sense, various diseases of the musculature (especially in the area of neuromuscular transition) also belong to the field of neurology. Neurology is associated with pain medicine, especially because of headaches.
