Stays in rehabilitation

Here you will find all the information you need to know before your arrival at the Clinique Valmont.

Administrative procedures

In order to organise your stay, we ask you to send us the admission questionnaire, completed and signed by the reffering doctor.

As soon as we receive the admission questionnaire, we will submit it to our medical committee for validation, as well as to your insurance company in order to receive the guarantee of coverage of all your hospitalization costs. As soon as we receive this, we will contact you to finalise your stay.

Preparing your stay

In order to ensure that your stay in our clinic takes place in perfect serenity, here is some information that will enable you to prepare your future hospitalisation.

Documents to provide :

  • Your identity card

In your luggage :

  • Sportswear for indoor and outdoor physical activities (shorts, training, t-shirt, pullover etc.), comfortable shoes for movement (ideally gym shoes or trainers)
  • Swimming costume and shoes
  • Sufficient underwear and socks
  • Your personal toiletries (towels and bathrobes are provided in the room)
  • Cash or credit card to pay for any extras

If you are undergoing specific treatment (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, etc.) - regardless of the medication related to your rehabilitation - please remember to take your personal medication with you for your entire stay.

Your arrival

We will send you a confirmation of your stay which will indicate the day and time when our reception team will welcome you. Once you have settled into your room, the day will be devoted to various entrance checks by members of the medical staff.

Your stay

Your therapies will take place from Monday to Friday. They will be individual and personalised according to your needs. In order to evaluate your progress, our medical staff and the head doctor will meet and visit you every week.

Your return home

Our liaison nurse is the reference person for the organisation of your return home in complete serenity. She will visit you during your stay to answer your questions and determine together what your specific needs are (help with housework, home care, etc.). She will then take care of setting up the desired aids so that everything is ready for your return.

Hotel supplement

If your insurance only covers your basic insurance or if you would like to benefit from additional services, we offer various alternatives to make the most of the idyllic setting of the clinic:

  • An upgrade to a semi-private room
  • An upgrade to a private room
  • An upgrade to a juniorsuite
  • An upgrade to a deluxe room

Invitation to a walk

The bucolic surroundings of the clinic will undoubtedly make you want to go for a walk and enjoy the surrounding nature. For your own safety, your doctor will have to give you prior approval for each walk. We ask you to inform your nurse when you leave your room.

Daily shopping made easy

No need to keep cash on you, you can charge your extras, drinks, stamps, newspapers, accompanying meals, directly to your account. You can then pay for all these expenses at the reception desk when you leave.

Laundry

Our housekeeping service will provide you with information on laundry, the provision of linen, towels, bathrobes, and requests for personal hygiene items.
Our laundry service will return your cleaned clothes to you within 48 hours. These services are billed directly to your account.

Main reception

The reception is open from 08:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday, from 08:15 to 17:00 on Saturday and from 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday.

Visiting hours

Visitors are permitted daily from 11:00 to 19:30 in the rooms and until 21:00 in the lounges.

Located 35 km from Lausanne, a few minutes from the centre of Montreux, the Clinique Valmont is accessible by:

By car

Leave the motorway at the Montreux exit, follow Glion/Caux, in Glion take the 2nd right after the hotel school.
Continue for 1 km until you reach the indicated car park.

Parking

A free private car park available to our patients and visitors. Located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance, it does not include any stairs and offers direct and easy access to the clinic.

By train

From the Montreux train station, take the train towards «Les Rochers de Naye» and get off at the Valmont stop.
Walk to the clinic at 100 m along the indicated path.

By plane
