Specialist in Anaesthesiology, member FMH
Vincent Baeriswyl studied medicine at the University of Geneva, graduating in 1999. He began his career at the Hôpital de La Tour in Meyrin, near Geneva. For two years, he worked in internal medicine in various departments - emergency, cardiology, pneumology and intensive care - headed by the late Dr J.-B. Thorens, and by Drs O. Guinand, F. Meier and Cl. de Senarclens.
From 2000 to 2003, as an intern, he continued his training as a specialist in anaesthesia and intensive care at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in the department of Prof. F. Clergue. In 2003, he was appointed Head of Clinic, a position he held until December 2007. Dr Baeriswyl had the opportunity to work as Head of Clinic in the Neonatology and Paediatric Intensive Care Department under Prof. M. Berner and Dr P. Rimensberger (2003-2004). He is also an instructor in airway management and is involved in out-of-hospital activities for REGA. In January 2008, he returned to the Hôpital de La Tour to start working independently.
In June 2012, he joined the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, where he is involved in ERAS certification. An enthusiast of ultrasonography, he uses it in all its forms for loco-regional anaesthesia or as part of haemodynamic exploration.
