Competences

Professor Jacques Proust was born in France, where he started his career in Parisian hospitals as an internal medicine physician and geriatrician.

He then specialized in the biology of aging at the Gerontology Research Center at NIH in Baltimore (USA) for 10 years, later on deepening his biology of aging knowledge at the University of John Hopkins. Following his sojourn in the United States, he then supervised the Biology of Aging Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine (Geneva University Hospitals) before creating one of the very first European age-prevention centers at the Clinique de Genolier, with the objective of providing patients with the latest scientific advancements linked to the prevention and treatment of pathophysiological processes associated with age.

Professor Proust is the author of numerous scientific publications within the biology of aging domain. In addition to his professional activity within the clinic, he consecrates a part of his time to research and holds a position as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva. Using his numerous years of fundamental research within the senescence domain, Professor Jacques Proust has developed a deep interest in therapeutic strategies to slow down the effects of aging on the human body.

As the largest and most exposed organ, skin naturally peaked his scientific interest. Thanks to his knowledge within biological mechanisms at the root of the aging process, Professor Jacques Proust is the leading player within Nescens cosmeceuticals and the source of numerous scientifically validated products. Today, he is the Medical Director of Nescens Preventive Medicine Center within the Clinique de Genolier and Scientific Director of the Nescens brand.
