Swiss Medical Network guarantees patients full reimbursement of medical services thanks to a reimbursement model for medical fees accepted by insurers
The private clinics of Genolier, Montchoisi and Générale-Beaulieu, members of Swiss Medical Network, have entered into an agreement with the insurers Helsana and CSS. The aim is to guarantee secure and transparent access to medical services covered by supplementary insurance in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud.
In the absence of an agreement between doctors' associations and insurers on the uniform regulation of medical fees in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud, three leading private clinics – Clinique de Genolier, Clinique de Montchoisi in Lausanne and Clinique Générale-Beaulieu in Geneva – have implemented a new agreement for access to medical services for patients with supplementary insurance.
This partnership is based on the VVG+ model, developed by the doctors of the Swiss Medical Network group, to which these establishments belong. In accordance with FINMA's transparency requirements, this model offers a clear and predictable fee structure, while guaranteeing the quality of care and respecting freedom of choice for patients.
Thanks to this agreement, patients of the two insurers with supplementary cover in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud will have secure and continuous access to the medical services offered in these establishments, which are recognised for their excellence.
Physicians practising in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva will be able, if they wish, to freely join the VVG+ contract, enabling their patients to receive care in the three partner clinics.
These agreements, which are subsidiary in scope, do not exclude a future broader agreement between the two insurers and the cantonal associations of doctors, to which the clinics concerned say they are open in a spirit of constructive dialogue.
In addition, discussions are nearing completion with other supplementary insurers with the aim of extending this model to a growing number of policyholders and doctors.
«With this transitional solution, patients are guaranteed reimbursement for medical services from tomorrow,» says Dino Cauzza, CEO of Swiss Medical Network.
This agreement marks a major development in the private healthcare system in French-speaking Switzerland, laying the foundations for a model combining transparency, quality of care and continuity of care.
