First liver radioembolisation procedure for Clinique de Genolier
Clinique de Genolier is now offering a pioneering state-of-the-art treatment for liver tumours within the Swiss Medical Network.
This procedure makes it possible to treat liver tumours and metastases in a localised and targeted manner. It is carried out in close collaboration between a nuclear physician and an interventional radiologist.
Radioactive microspheres are administered directly into the arterial network of the liver, emitting radiation selectively targeted at the tumour tissue.
This minimally invasive procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and has few side effects.
Hepatic radioembolisation requires in-depth assessment and multidisciplinary medical expertise before the therapeutic indication is validated.
