First robotic knee replacement at the Genolier Clinic!
Yesterday, Professor Olivier Guyen fitted the clinic's first total knee replacement using surgery assisted by the Mako robot, accompanied by Doctor Pietro Poglia, Doctor Davide Salvo, who has been operating with this robot for 3 years at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, and the Stryker team.
A wonderful opportunity to share knowledge!
The 7th Mako robot in Switzerland, it can be used for knee and hip replacements. This robot offers a high degree of precision and a solution tailored to each patient. It generates little trauma for the surrounding tissues, thereby improving patient convalescence, reducing post-operative pain and enabling rapid recovery of mobility.
Congratulations to Professor Guyen and the entire operating theatre team on this first.
