Medizinische Zentrum VIVA Bern joins Swiss Medical Network
The Medizinische Zentrum VIVA (www.mz-viva.ch) in Ostermundigen is an integrated outpatient care centre with state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced digitalisation in a prime location in the medically underserved Bern East region, covering a service area of around 40,000 residents.
Full range of outpatient care services under one roof
VIVA's comprehensive range of healthcare services is based on integrated, interdisciplinary outpatient care and is characterised by established cooperation between various service providers and specialist disciplines along the entire treatment pathway: GPs, emergency, walk-in, specialists from various disciplines, a new radiology department (www.radiologie-viva.ch), comprehensive therapy and counselling services as well as its own Spitex.
The Medizinische Zentrum VIVA, which currently has 55 employees, was founded by two young entrepreneurs at the beginning of 2023. Swiss Medical Network is acquiring a majority stake of 70 per cent of the share capital in the young company in order to further develop it together with the founders and the other shareholders.
Expansion of integrated care in the Bern region
The partnership will create new framework conditions for the centre's growth. Medizinische Zentrum VIVA will benefit from the stability, quality and size of the Group. The centre will continue to operate unchanged under the management of the two founders and will retain its operational autonomy.
For Swiss Medical Network, the integration of VIVA, which incidentally only coincidentally has the same name as our integrated care model launched in the Jura Arc, opens up new prospects for the strategic and operational expansion of outpatient primary care in the Bern/Mittelland region. Privatklinik Siloah and the two existing medical centres in Liebefeld and Murten will complement the unique ecosystem for health and well-being, which goes beyond conventional care and is thus perfectly embedded in our vision of comprehensive integrated care.
