Ticino Welcome - The versatility of laser on the skin
Dr. Nicoletta Jaberg-Bentele, a specialist in Dermatology and Venerology at the Medicentro of the Clinica Sant'Anna in Sorengo, explains the versatility of the Clarity II laser for skin treatments, from aesthetics to medical care
First, it is worth understanding what a laser is and what the underlying technology is in the service of dermatology.
A laser is a medical device that uses specific wavelengths to hit different targets in the skin. Simply put, it uses the energy produced by the beam of light that is absorbed (for example, in the case of pigmented lesions) by the pigment in the skin. It is therefore a nonthreatening treatment that does not penetrate deeply and generally does not produce pain beyond a slight tingling sensation that can be felt during the session.
