Patient Safety Week 2024: Diagnosis as a team affair

National Patient Safety Week will take place from 16 to 20 September 2024, this year under the motto: ‘Diagnosis. A team effort’. Together with the World Health Organisation (WHO), we would like to draw attention to the central role of correct, precise and timely diagnosis - a task that can only be guaranteed by close cooperation between an interprofessional team.

We, the Swiss Medical Network, Swiss Visio and several medical centres (Medizinische Zentrum VIVA, Centre Médical Montchoisi, Ärztezentrum Siloah Liebefeld & Murten, and Ärztezentrum Solothurn), are also actively participating in the campaign week. Various activities are planned in our centres to raise awareness of the importance of patient safety.

Our campaigns during Patient Safety Week:

• Orange safety pins: As a visible symbol of patient safety, all employees wear an orange safety pin.
• Posters and flyers: Information materials highlighting the importance of team-based diagnosis are distributed in our clinics.
• Social media posts: Accompanying posts on our social media channels to also create awareness online.
• Updated website: On our website you will find additional information about the campaign and how you can contribute to improving patient safety.
