La Consulenza Rete Uno - Dr. med. Stefano Gadaldi

A look into the operating room. How much and how is surgery changing?

«Surgery» is a word of Greek origin that associates the words «hand» and «operation»: where drugs are not adequate to solve the problem, the surgeon's hands come into play, aided by specific instrumentation and technology, now increasingly sophisticated and precise with the advancement of information technology and robotization. Surgery is a vast area of medicine, encompassing operations with different purposes: removing tissue, opening obstructions, connecting arteries and veins to other districts, repairing fractures or closing wounds, and even organ transplantation.

Guest speaker is Dr. med. Stefano Gadaldi, a surgical specialist at the Clinica Sant'Anna in Sorengo.
