Carpal tunnel syndrome results in a cluster of symptoms caused by compression of the median nerve within the carpal tunnel. tingling, reduced sensation in the fingertips of the first three fingers, and cramp-like pain in the hand up to the forearm, predominantly at night are the first alarm bells. In more advanced stages a reduction in strength may be perceived. What are the causes? How is this frequent condition treated?
