AMD can be slowed down
In its September issue, Générations Plus magazine had an interview with Dr Aude Ambresin, a Swiss Medical Association (FMH)-certified ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon, covering AMD and how loss of vision can be slowed down.
AMD is a condition that gets progressively worse over time. The older the patient is, the more common it is. The cause behind AMD is gradual damage to the macula, the central part of the retina, which provides clear and detailed vision under daylight.
