Addiction psychiatry and psychotherapy

Addiction is a subject associated with many shameful and unpleasant feelings. It is often difficult for addicts to find the help they need because admitting their addiction sometimes goes hand in hand with social stigmatisation.

Addiction psychiatry and psychotherapy are concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and illnesses specific to addictive behaviours; it promotes the psychological health of people threatened by the development of an addictive disorder and improves their skills and autonomy by providing them with a consumption model based on stopping consumption or controlling excessive use.

Our approach

Patients are supported throughout the process. For some, the goal is abstinence; for others, regulated consumption and a return to a social life. We try to identify the reasons behind the addiction and develop appropriate solutions. This work is holistic and aims to promote health as a whole, by mitigating the physical and mental effects of addictive substances or behaviours.
