Specialist in Radio-Oncology and Nuclear Medicine from the University of Liège in Belgium, Jacques Bernier is the Swiss Medical Network’s Chief Science Officer. From 2006 till 2019, he is Head of the Radiation Oncology Department at the Clinique de Genolier and Medical Director of Centre d’Oncologie des Eaux-Vives in Geneva. A Privat-Docent at the Geneva University till 2018 and Chairman of the International Conferences on Translational Research in Radiation Oncology-ICTR, he sees his career strongly linked to translational and clinical research. In 1993, he receives the Yalow-Berson Award, in St Louis, USA, for his laboratory work on interferons and interleukins. In 2010, he is awarded the “Claudius Regaud Medal” by the European Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology - ESTRO. From 2016 till 2019, he is President of the Euro-Asian Society of Mastology – EURAMA, based in Milan. He also chairs the Genolier Cancer Center till 2019. Jacques Bernier is the author or co-author of more than 140 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 200 communications in national and international meetings.
