Originally from Germany, Dr Michael Drepper studied at the University of Tübingen in Germany. He continued his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Hôpital Riviera in Vevey and at the University Hospitals of Geneva, where he obtained a one-year fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy with Prof. Peter Sauer at the Interdisziplinäres Endoskopiezentrum of the University of Heidelberg in 2014. Returning to the University Hospitals of Geneva as Head of Gastroenterology, he obtained his FMH specialist qualification in Gastroenterology in 2016 and completed his training with an internship in echo-endoscopy with Prof. Pierre Deprez at the Cliniques Universitaires Saint Luc in Brussels in 2017 before moving to the Hôpital de La Tour in 2018.
On 1 June 2022, he joined the GGHA team as an associate of Dr Berj Armenian and Dr Alain Vonlaufen.
Dr Drepper carries out routine gastroenterological examinations, with a particular interest in digestive and pancreato-biliary echo-endoscopy, as well as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis).
