Competences

Born in Geneva, Patrick Dumps obtained his federal medical diploma in 1993, as well as an equivalent American medical diploma. He completed his training at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). There, he worked as a senior registrar in the delivery room and then in the operating room of the gynaecology department, gaining experience in endoscopic and vaginal surgery, urogynaecological surgery and breast surgery.

In 1996, he obtained his doctorate in medicine and in 1999 his FMH specialist title in gynaecology and obstetrics.

Dr Dumps opened his private practice at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu in 2002. Between 2000 and 2007, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, the Geneva School of Health (nurses, midwives) and the Geneva School of Medical Assistants.

In January 2008, he was appointed as the Clinic's Maternity Ward's lead doctor, and also became a member of the Medical Council. He has been a consultant doctor at a private perineology centre (Dianuro) since 2002, and is a member of the IUGA (International Urogynecological association) and the ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology). He is also a member of the SSGO (Swiss Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics), and meets the requirements for continuing education.
