Swiss and Nigerian,Dr Ibecheole studied medicine and obtained her degree (MBBS) from the University of Lagos in 1991 (FMH equivalent in 2002). Returning to Switzerland for her post-graduate training, she worked in internal medicine with Prof. A.-F. Junod, before switching to gynaecology and obstetrics, a discipline for which she was awarded her FMH specialist title in 2002. As head of clinic, she sub-specialised in reproductive medicine and gynaecological endocrinology at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) and at the Hôpital Cochin in Paris (Prof. D. de Ziegler and Prof. J.-B. Dubuisson). After leaving the HUG, she remained a registered doctor until 2013, when she became a consultant in charge of surgical infertility teaching at the Reproductive Medicine Unit. In 2010, she moved into private practice and worked with Medixy for two years before joining the Medically Assisted Reproduction Centre at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu from 2012 to 2016. She is interested in infertility surgery as well as fertility preservation in oncological situations, and participated in the development of the Réseau Romand de Cancer et Fertilité under the direction of its founder, Prof. Dominique de Ziegler.Dr Ibecheole is a member of the Association des Médecins du Canton de Genève (AMGe), the Fédération des Médecins Suisses (FMH), the Société Suisse de Médecine de la Reproduction (SSMR) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
