Born in Denmark to a Danish mother and Irish father, Dr Masterson Poyet moved to Geneva with her family at a very early age, where she followed the Geneva school system. She completed her medical studies at the University of Geneva in 2004, specialising in radiology (FMH) from 2005 to 2009, then neuroradiology (2011) and finally obtaining her European Specialised Diploma in Head and Neck Imaging (ESHNR) in September 2012. During her studies, Dr Masterson Poyet worked as an extern in the Radiology Department of Professor Grenier's Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris (2001 and 2002), where she fell in love with radiology. She returned to Geneva and worked as an extern in Professor Terrier's Radiology Department at the HUG (2003). As an intern, she joined Professor Fritchy's Department of Surgery (2003), then Professor Becker's Radiology Department (2003-2007), Professor Clergue's Anaesthesiology Department,Dr Cahana's Interventional Anaesthesia Department (2007-2008) and Professor Rhatib's Nuclear Medicine Department (2008). In 2009, while still at the HUG, Dr Masterson Poyet became Senior Registrar in Prof Becker's Radiology Department, during which time she specialised in ENT and maxillofacial radiology. At the end of 2012, she joined Clinique La Colline in Geneva as a radiologist in the Imaging and Development Department. She joined Clinique Générale-Beaulieu on 1 September 2014. A member of the Société Française de Radiologie since January 2003 and of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) since January 2007, she has published numerous articles and works, and won the RSNA 2005 (Radiological Society of North America) and Société Suisse de Radiologie 2006 awards, the Educational Poster Prise 2008 of the ESHNR (European Society of Head and Neck Radiology), and the Swiss Society of Radiology 2009 award.
