La Domenica “Voglio un corpo da selfie” Dr. med. Giovanni Barco
November 20 each year marks the International Day of Childhood and Adolescence, a time for global reflection on the importance of protecting and promoting the rights of young children. Including the right to benefit from good health and proper care: so let's take a cue from this special day to talk about pediatrics with a pediatrician, dwelling on all that revolves around and within the world of health of the young and very young. General pediatrics deals with the diagnosis and treatment of major pediatric diseases. It takes in children and young people with different demands and problems, scheduling any in-depth investigations necessary to make a diagnosis and prepare an appropriate treatment course. In pediatrics, therefore, we often talk about prevention and prophylaxis (promoting healthy development); healing (perhaps even with acute and emergency medicine); and accompanying and supporting young patients if there are chronic diseases and therapies that need rehabilitation. Moms and dads, grandmothers and grandfathers, if you would like to participate in the broadcast, please call us on 0848 03 08 08 or write to us via Whatsapp on 076 321 11 13.
Guest speaker: Dr. med. Alessandra Ferrarini, a specialist in pediatrics and a specialist in medical genetics at the Clinica Sant'Anna in Sorengo and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of USI in Lugano
