Laurence Caviezel studied medicine in Geneva and obtained her federal medical diploma in 2000.
She then began her post-graduate training in the canton of Fribourg in general surgery (Hôpital Sud Fribourgeois, Riaz) and internal medicine (Hôpital cantonal de Fribourg). Returning to Geneva in 2002, she began her specialist training in anaesthesiology at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in Professor F. Clergue's department. Clergue's department (including intensive care). During this training, she spent a year and a half in Professor E. Buchser's anaesthesiology department at the Hôpital de Morges.
Dr Laurence Caviezel qualified as an FMH specialist in anaesthesiology in 2008, and was then appointed Senior Registrar in the Department of Anaesthesiology at the HUG. During her multi-faceted career as Head of Clinic, from 2008 to 2014, she had the opportunity to perfect her skills in the specialist areas of gynaeco-obstetric and urodigestive anaesthesia.
In December 2014, she joined the group of anaesthetists at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu.
