Prof. Loïc Lang-Lazdunski
Professor Loïc Lang-Lazdunski is internationally recognised as an expert in pleural mesothelioma, complex thoracic surgery for lung cancer and mediastinal tumours, and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. Over the course of his career, he has operated on more than 5,000 patients with cardiothoracic problems and treated more than 1,000 patients with pleural mesothelioma.
He has contributed more than 120 articles to the scientific literature, published in peer-reviewed journals, and has been an active participant in numerous presentations at national and international scientific conferences. His excellence in research has been regularly recognised by the award of substantial grants for his innovative projects, as well as by the receipt of prestigious national and international prizes.
His commitment to the advancement of science was also marked by his role as a Distinguished Fellow of the UK National Cancer Research Institute from 2007 to 2014. As a dedicated mentor, he has shared his knowledge and expertise by successfully training over 30 young cardiothoracic surgeons and fellows from around the world.

Dr Thierry Roth
After completing a full course of training in thoracic surgery at the University Hospital in Berne, and internships at the Marie Lannelongue Hospital (Prof. Dartevelle) and the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital (Prof. Regnard) in Paris, Dr Thierry Roth has had a very active private practice in visceral and thoracic surgery in Switzerland. He has operated on more than 5,000 patients suffering from abdominal, endocrine or thoracic problems, with excellent results.
He has published several important scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and made several presentations at national and international scientific meetings, particularly in the fields of lung cancer, thymectomy and thoracic endometriosis resection. He is a regular member of many prestigious international societies and organisations (ESTS, SSC, SSCT). Dr Thierry Roth has also been involved in training new generations of visceral and thoracic surgeons in Switzerland. Dr Roth speaks French, English and German.
