Inpatient stays

You will find all the information you need to know before your stay at Clinique de Genolier here.

Our admissions department will be happy to welcome you and can complete your administrative file if needed, Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On weekends and public holidays, our receptionists will be on hand to assist you.

Before your procedure

To arrange your procedure, your doctor will contact our admissions department.

Once your hospital stay has been arranged, a request for confirmation of treatment will be sent to your insurance provider, who must confirm to us that they are in agreement (no later than the day of your admission).

If you do not have additional insurance, you will need to pay a deposit upon arrival.

You will also be sent a confirmation of admission stating the date and time of your admission to the clinic, as well as a list of the various administrative documents to be returned to us in order to complete your file.

When you arrive at the clinic, we kindly ask you to bring:

  • your identity document;
  • your basic insurance card;
  • your supplementary insurance policy;
  • the admissions questionnaire.

On the day of your procedure

When you are admitted to the clinic, you will be met at the main reception desk before being accompanied to your room and cared for by our nursing staff.

After your procedure

Your departure will be arranged in consultation with your doctor. Your nurse will give you your signed discharge certificate.

When you check out, please hand in at the main reception:

  • your discharge papers;
  • your telephone card;
  • the satisfaction questionnaire: your feedback is valuable and helps us improve the well-being of our patients.

Your inpatient invoice will be sent directly to your health insurance provider (in the event of a charge). If you have consumed any extras, the corresponding invoice will be sent directly to your home address.

Guarantee of cost coverage

Before the patient is admitted, Clinique de Genolier asks the health insurer for a guarantee that hospital expenses will be covered. If the health insurer does not guarantee full coverage of expenses, a deposit may have to be paid before admission. In this case, you will be informed in advance by a member of our patient administration team.

Invoicing

We draw up statements in accordance with the contracts concluded with insurers and in accordance with the health insurance rates in force in the canton of Vaud. We settle the invoices directly with Swiss health insurance companies. As a result, you will only receive an invoice for services not covered by your health insurance (e.g. telephone costs, meals for your guests, etc.)

Quote/Upgrades

If you are insured for a shared ward and are interested in an upgraded stay at our clinic, we will be happy to provide you with a no-obligation quote for your stay. We can also provide you with a quote for an upgrade from semi-private to private accommodation or for a stay in one of our Junior Suites or Presidential Suites.

Outpatient stays

Our admissions department will be happy to welcome you and can complete your administrative file if needed, Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 05:00 PM. On weekends and public holidays, our receptionists will be on hand to assist you.

Before your procedure

To arrange your procedure, your doctor will contact our admissions department.

Once your procedure has been arranged, we will send you a confirmation of admission stating the date and time of your admission to the clinic.

On the day of your procedure

On the day of your operation, please come directly to the main reception desk.

We kindly ask you to bring:

  • your identity document
  • your basic insurance card

Insurance

For all insured patients in Switzerland

All outpatient care and treatment provided by the Emergency Centre, Physiotherapy Centre, Occupational Therapy Centre, the Polyclinic, the Radiology Centre, the Radiotherapy Centre, the Endoscopy Department and the Cathlab at Clinique de Genolier are available to all patients insured in Switzerland, regardless of their insurance cover, and are subject to the same outpatient rates as in public facilities. These examinations are performed on the basis of a medical prescription.

Basic health insurance

  • Specialised consultations
  • Outpatient care and procedures (without hospitalisation)
  • Outpatient laboratory and radiological investigations
  • Hospitalisations and surgical procedures for an additional financial contribution

Semi-private or private insurance

  • Specialised consultations
  • Care and surgical procedures
  • Laboratory and radiological investigations
  • Hospitalisations for medical or surgical reasons
  • Patients with private insurance can stay in a suite or junior suite for an additional financial contribution
  • Patients with private insurance benefit from a transfer from their home address to the clinic and vice versa with one of our drivers
