Originally from Barcelona, Dr Jordi Vidal Fortuny completed his university education in 2001, and left Spain in 2004 to make his way to Switzerland and train as a surgeon. As a former Chief resident at the Hôpital de Nyon, who worked in both the visceral surgery and transplant department and the Thoracic and endocrine surgery department at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, he looks forward to meeting you for a consultation at his private practice in the Clinique de Genolier.
After moving to the Visceral surgery and transplant department at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, Dr Vidal Fortuny joined and helped to grow the abdominal wall surgery team, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques.
During his two years within the Thoracic and endocrine surgery department, he trained in surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid, developing new surgical procedures to increase operational safety.
